Step 1
Integrating with Stripe
Head to the integrations tab in your indemandly dashboard. Click the plus sign to connect your Stripe account. If you already have Stripe account, click 'Sign in' in the upper left corner. If not, creating a Stripe account is quick and easy (+ it's free).
To learn how to accept payments in your indemandly widget, head to Step 2. If you'd like to learn how to invoice your clients, skip to Step 3.
Step 2
How to collect payments in your widget
Head to the build tab in your indemandly dashboard. Select the tile you'd like to collect payments for. Under 'Edit' head to 'more options' > add a 'price' > select box 'request payment'
Once your tile is active, you can see how it works in your indemandly widget to the right. Select the tile you added payments for, hit 'Next' and this is what your widget should look like -
Now, when a client sends you an inquiry for this tile they will be prompted to enter a credit card. Once you confirm this booking request in your inbox, their credit card is charged.
If your client doesn't enter their credit card in the widget, then they are automatically sent an invoice via email. You'll be updated in the 'inbox' tab whenever a client pays through the indemandly widget or pays an emailed invoice.
Step 3
Invoicing clients
If you’d like to invoice a customer after your meeting, you can send an invoice in the ‘inbox’ tab. (This is also a useful tool if you need to split your payments, e.g. request a deposit and later request the final fee).
Head to the inbox tab in your indemandly dashboard. Choose the client you'd like to invoice.
In your conversation with the client, select ‘Manage payments’ > ‘Request payment’ then enter the amount and add a message if you’d like - click ‘Request payment’
Here's an example of what your client will see once they receive an emailed invoice.
